Brooke and Ryan eloped in front of their friends and family in an intimate wedding ceremony at the Iron Goat Pub & Grill. They turn their upstairs patio into a perfect ceremony space for the unpredictable mountain weather. Once their ceremony was complete, Iron Goat flipped their outside ceremony space into their reception space.
Something that is becoming more of a common wedding photography trend is to do a first look and portraits before hand. In this case, that worked perfectly since it allowed us the time to get the locations and shots we needed to before the ceremony so that afterwards no one had to leave Iron Goat Pub and could just stay and enjoy their meal after the ceremony. This is a great way to maximize your time getting photos done.
We had a little bit of rain here and there, but that’s Alberta. Wait 20 minutes and the weather changes again most of the time. Thankfully it basically waited for us to be done with our quick photos before it really started to come down. Ryan quickly changed into his Red Serge for a few snaps after, and for the reception!
Brooke + Ryan came down from Peace River, Alberta to get married in one of their favourite places. I am so blessed to have been able to capture their intimate elopement in Canmore. It is the greatest honour when my fellow RCMP families choose me to be a part of their special memories.
